You may also find the current flag status of the river useful. This page tracks the level of the Isis at Friar's Wharf; Geraint Jones informs me that 15" to 20" above normal there seems to be a good match for a flooded path.
The Environment Agency has an automated level meter at the Southern end of Mesopotamia with two readings available: upstream and downstream. Once calibrated against the flooding of the path these should provide a useful warning mechanism.

Looks as if cycle path is meant to be closed but fences pushed back and no evidence of any more work being done since opened briefly last week. The plastic fences along the sides don't necessarily indicate any imminent work!

Path still closed. Mesopotamia is open and quite a lot of cyclists are putting their bike through the pram-gap at Parsons Pleasure to get through. (Large bikes may not fit).

I spoke to one of the Council men at the beginning of the Sept 2022 repair work. He told me they were going to be doing a temporary repair this time pending funding for a full repair 'next year' (including further closure then).
