Tower in the centre of Oxford, located at the crossroads of Cornmarket Street, St Aldates, High Street, and Queen Street. Famous for tourists for its clockwork figures, which come out and strike a bell on the hour (or is it on the quarter hour). Famous for students because of the 'Carfax Limit', namely the five mile radius invisible circle which surrounds Oxford, centreing on the tower, within which members of the University are subject to the University Police and the Proctors (not quite - the University Police's authority extends three miles from any university building), and within which resident students are required to live.
The metaphysical implications of this vis-a-vis atomising Carfax and spreading its atoms around the whole planet are unknown.
