Why it is named after the star of the Alabama Three song I have no idea, and I may well have got the spelling wrong.

I would have assumed that it was named after Mao Tse-tung, but this would probably turn out to be incorrect. On the other hand, not knowing this song of which you speak, this may have been what you meant. On the third hand, it could all be a massive coincidence. The song in question is 'Mao Tse-Tung Said' (feat. Rev Jim Jones), which neatly eliminates the need for you to compromise your humanoid physiology.
