A famous 19th century poet.
Like Tom Anderson, he went to University College, the difference being that Shelley was kicked out for writing 'The Necessity Of Atheism'.
He might have been interested in this site, had he lived today: <http://www.infidels.org/index.shtml> (not quite as inflammatory as its URL suggests!) --TL
His wife, Mary Shelley, may have founded SF, but David Brin says that Percy Bysshe Shelley, being a romantic, is actually an enemy of SF (or something): <http://www.kithrup.com/brin/starwarsarticle2.html>.
Why the long name? Dunno; Percy Shelley? would have done it. Yup. Ah well.
