Swiftly Novel

Adam Roberts' ninth (I think) novel, built around a simple concept: what if Gulliver and his travels had been real? Answer: a century later you have liliputians enslaved in factories, regiments of "sapient cavalry" and brobdingnagians in armies, and giant cattle provide so much beef that it's dirt-cheap. And then France invades Britain. One of Roberts' best.
