American author and editor (of anthologies, with Ellen Datlow). Started her career at a very young age, and was instrumental in publishing many contemporary writers of Fantasy Fiction. Edits the "Fairy Tale" series of novels for Tor. She is the author of the novel The Wood Wife, and has collaborated with Brian And Wendy Froud.
One of the founders of the Interstitial Arts movement. Divides her time between Arizona and Devon, England.
