- I have the Bloc Party album; there's potential, but I haven't listened properly yet. Franz Ferdinand I'm not so keen on. Possibly The Stills, but I don't think they're really danceable. Other than that I'm drawing a blank as well. -- NH
- Mike seems to like Bloc Party. He played me a Futureheads single (Hounds of Love, cover of the Kate Bush song) which was rather good, but said the rest of their stuff is not so hot. The Kaiser Chiefs' current single didn't sound too bad.

- For years, i loved this song, and danced away to it like a fool, without knowing what it was; even emailing my fellow Panickers only turned up duff suggestions. I only definitively identified it recently when it was played on the XFM. One of the things that intrigued me about this song is that i would have sworn it mentioned the Cowley Road in the lyrics, which would have been slightly odd, but very cool, since that's where i lived at the time; hey, maybe they're an Oxford band or something. Now i know what it is, i can read the lyrics: turns out it's the Cally Road, which is local lingo for the Caledonian Road, which is where i live now. Chance - or sinister indie conspiracy? Actually, this isn't quite true - i live on Holloway Road, but that's not all that far away (one tube stop!). Anyway, there you go, indie anecdote. -- TA
