Richard Morgan's sixth novel. Very good, although perhaps not quite as good as Black Man?. It's marketed as Fantasy Fiction but, as Farah Mendlesohn says, sufficiently advanced fantasy is indistinguishable from Science Fiction. There are also explicitly S Fnal elements (at least in my opinion).
