Hi folks, Just a bit of info and some reminders etc So Hac07 is running this Wednesday-Friday, from 10am each day until we get tired/bored/hungry. Contact numbers: ---------------- Organisers: dcoutts (local organiser): +44 7913 261613 dons: +61 422 036 471 other people (who happened to be around when I asked for numbers): bringert: +46 704 779794 kolmodin: +46 73 6223606 beschmi: +49 176 68021286 Directions: ----------- Ian put some nice directions with photos(!) on the wiki: http://haskell.org/haskellwiki/Hac_2007#Logistics You can turn up from 10am, if you're early you'll have to give me a call. On the first day (or the first day you're turning up) just go into the reception and say that you're there for the "Haskell mini-conference thing organised by Duncan Coutts" and they should let you in and might even direct you to the library reading room, though Ian has already provided directions (and more photos) for that: http://haskell.org/haskellwiki/Hac_2007#The_room We'll have name badges which should make it easier for you to persuade the receptionist to let you back in. More things to bring: --------------------- * ethernet cable (wireless might work but don't count on it) * if you happen to have a spare ethernet mini hub bring that, we'll have one or two but just to be on the safe side and the more we have the easier it'll be to arrange the tables into smaller groups * If you need an European/UK power adaptor then bring one, and/or bring a 4-way European extension lead so that we can make best use of limited numbers of power adaptors. Good news! You will not need to get your laptop checked for electrical safety by our IT chaps. Food: ----- I've been investigating the possibility of having a nice dinner at a college on Friday evening. I'll know the menu and price soon, probably tomorrow. I hope/expect it'll be reasonably priced. So bring something to wear that isn't too scruffy :-) We can organise lunch, dinner, pubbage etc on the day and lead expeditions. If you've got budget or diet limitations be sure to say so. If I've forgotten something/someone do get in touch. See you soon! Duncan
