The sheep are scared of Ganesh, it's not like he's Welsh! |

We're staying next to a power station too! |

This is a series of locks, one leading into the other |
There's a road and a railway at the bottom, bridging over the canal |
We were lucky enough to watch a transit down |
The bridges at the bottom are swing bridges |

Ardnamurchan point is the most westerly point of mainland Britain, further west than Land's End. It has a lighthouse. |
The actual westernmost bit is a bit harder to get to - and we didn't have time to walk to it. |
Unfortunately, on these very narrow single track roads, going off road to pass another car isn't always a good idea |
And the view from where we stopped... |
Without signal where we stopped, we ended up stopping somewhere else with a nice view to phone to find a garage. |
Waiting in the queue at the ferry terminal |
And when we spotted another classic train at Kyle of Lochalsh, we stopped to take a peek |
Skye Bridge |
And we arrive at Lochcarron, where we finally find a garage with a replacement tyre (ours was irreparable) |
From Lochcarron we drove across the Bealach na Ba on the Applecross Peninsula. This is a windy tortuous route, single track, passing places, hair pin bends. We were glad of the new tyre. Most photos are taken from the car window while on the move. |

A warning notice |

And we stop at Applecross for a breather |
On the way back, we stop at the lookout which is the highest point. Ganesh takes a GPS marker. |
It's a bit misty for the view to be that good |
And then we drive to Inverness on much wider roads (relatively) |
Keep your eyes peeled for a monster! |
We have an obligatory boat trip |

Apparently he was trying to get a picture of himself in my glasses |

An interesting accident with the wrong camera settings and a moving object |

This was what was meant to be got |
