The bread, vast quantities of which were delivered daily.

On Sunday 7th we went to the Trummelbach waterfalls, a series of 15 falls partly underground. My camera got quite a bit of spray on the lens, hence the blobbiness on the photos.

We also went to Grindlewald, up a cable car. These photos are taken through glass, hence their funny appearance.

We were up for 6am, getting the coach at 7:15 to get to the Lauterbrunnen train station for the train to the Jungfraujoch. The station has no raised platorms, you are literally walking amongst the trains. They are all electric and on a narrow gauge.
We climbed up through the mountains on the train, on a single track line, occasionallly pausing at passing places. It was ear-popping.
The views from the train were excellent.

At the top of the Jungfraujoch is an observation platform, which I managed to get a shot of through the monocular.
We changed trains part way, the second train taking us up through a tunnel inside the mountain.
At the end of the train line is an ice palace carved out of the glacier inside the mountain. The floor, walls and ceiling are all ice, cold and slippery.
They have scultped figures out of the ice. Here is a family of polar bears.

It's pretty hard to get a shot of the girls, as they pass quite quickly and it was too dark to see them in good time.
