The goal of the Elite Project is to produce a game similar to in style to the classic Elite by David Braben and Ian Bell. The player controls a space vessel in a turbulant galaxy and travels between the stars making a living via trading or combat as he or she sees fit.

We aim for powerful and highly configurable game albeit with an inituitive interface allowing the player to specify the degree of complexity they wish to be apparant and that which they wish to leave to the computer. The plans we have are ambitious and will potentially make TEP the most advanced and detailed space flight game yet developed.

TEP is a cross-platform project run on a cooperative open source basis. We welcome contributors with time and talents to donate.

TEP is currently on a rather permanent seeming hiatus. It was fun while it lasted - we were young and overambitious :) One day...
