Annual SF and Fantasy Fiction Award given by SFWA. The award is presented at the aptly-titled Nebula Awards Weekend each April. The 2003 winner for Best Novel was Neil Gaiman's American Gods. Carol Emshwiller won for Best Short Story ("Creature"), Ted Chiang for Best Novelette ("Hell is the Absence of God") and Ursula Le Guin was elected SFWA Grandmaster (the second woman, after Andre Norton).
