FanZines are magazines written by fans, innit. Lots of people don't read fanzines; the two key reasons for this are that mostly, they are still on paper, due to rampant wrongheadedness in Fandom1.0, and they aren't really published, more circulated amongst people in the know. -- Although interestingly enough, at least some of them count as published by the BritishLibrary definition; the editors of BananaWings recently received a letter ordering them to give up copies for the archives. -- NH It's not hard to get hold of them, but most fans outside Fandom proper wouldn't know to do it. - Paper fanzines are collected by GregPickersgill in TheMemoryHole: http://www.gostak.demon.co.uk/mhindex.htm - Online fanzines are indexed by EFanzines: http://www.efanzines.com/ There are a few fanzine-like things connected, often remotely, to OUSFG: - InstantFanzine - AtEm - TheThirdRow (putative) - BioFanzine (joke) The LiveJournalMemex may be trawled for stuff here. There is also SFINX, which isn't a fanzine, really, as it's for fiction.
