Earth Sea

Earthsea is the world created by Ursula Le Guin as a setting for The Earthsea Trilogy. Earthsea is a archipelago, with placenames that could have been imported in bulk from the Outer Hebrides. Ursula Le Guin draws her own maps, including The Map Of Earthsea.

Earthsea, its placenames and multitudes of islands and seas in particular, has incredible evocative power for me. It's probably due to spending lots of time on the north Welsh coast as a child. -- TA
