Magdalen Street

This entry will include Magdalen Street East, for reasons that should be obvious to a blind spielsnape or even to a Science Fiction Bums member on a Monday morning.

Streetlet connecting St Giles with Broad Street, George Street, and Cornmarket Street, and divided into two (Magalen Street and Magdalen Street East) each of which flow along one side of the Martyrs Memorial, presumably to make the two ends of St Giles pleasingly mirror one another. Magdalen Street East is thus a narrow roadlet passing by Balliol College on one side, and a graveyard on the other, used as a coach stop by seemingly every tourist coach to visit Oxford. Magdalen Street proper, on the other side of the Martyrs Memorial and attendant church, passes the Randolph Hotel, with its Morse Bar, Sainsbury's Local, Borders Bookshop, Debenhams, and goes through a mini-bus station.
