There was an announcement a while back on only the core of ghc 6.8 being available at unsafe-haskell. I've noticed that a few packages on hackage has received the 6.8-love (changes to cabal files etc) so I'm getting more and more interested in having 6.8 in Sid :-)

What is the current state of getting 6.8 being packaged for Sid, and what can I do to help out?
